Hello Anthony

Just a note to extend our thanks for the wonderful stay we recently had at Elsa Lodge. The cabin is lovely, cosy and warm, and of course, we especially loved the hot tub.

The scenery of the area is absolutely gorgeous and we spent much time soaking in the hot tub . with glass of wine whilst appreciating the beauty and tranquility of the environment. We also enjoyed photographing the lake and the birdlife, particularly the resident family of white swans.

Being our first visit to this region, day outings to Bath, Cirencester, Oxford and the amazing village of Malmesbury also provided us with a new awareness and appreciation of what the area has to offer.

Thank you also for your personal attention in ensuring we were comfortable and allowing us the opportunity to stay longer than we initially planned. We felt very relaxed and 'de-stressed' after our stay.

We would love to return one day and would definitely recommend the log cabins to our friends and family.

Once again we had the most wonderful time staying in Elsa at Christmas, We came home very relaxed and the hot tub was wonderful of an evening. We will most definately be back.

When we arrived we were all very happy and impressed by the cabin and all the facilities that you provided inside the cabin. We would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Elsa in May. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. It is the log cabin we have searched in vain for, for so many years, secluded and peaceful with a lake on the doorstep, and with the added bonus of having our own hot tub. The setting suited our needs perfectly. As soon as we arrived home, we booked again for next year.

I just wanted to say thankyou for the wonderful time we had at Monty's retreat this weekend. It was absolutely perfect, we honestly couldn't have asked for more.

We had a lovely relaxing and recouperating weekend. The cabin itself was beautiful and the view of the lake was amazing. We very much hope to return to Monty's retreat, for a longer stay this time. In fact we are getting married in April next year, and are considering booking Monty's retreat for a honeymoon, we will be in touch!

Unfortunately just returned to work after a fantastic long weekend at Lake Springs Lodge.  We loved absolutely everything about our stay and thought the standard of the accommodation was fantastic; you had provided everything you could possible need,

We absolutely loved the finnish hot tub and made full use of it morning, noon and night.

We will be back -----   well in fact please can we book Lake Springs again for a long weekend starting 16 September.

Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you both so much for a lovely weekend in Moondara. We had a fantastic time celebrating my Dads 60th Birthday with his family and friends around him. He said it was such a lovely surprise and far surpassed any inkling he may have had. Moondara was a fabulous place and the location was to die for.

Thank you very much for all the assistance you gave with our planning, including recommending The Potting Shed in Crudwell, Cirencester Party shop for the balloons and Tescos for the food delivery, it all came together just perfectly.

We will definitely be back next year, we’re just coming up with an excuse to do so!

We just had to send you an email to say thank you for the best 4 days we've ever had. After losing both my parents this year and a accident at work which left me in hospital for a few days, we come to this absolutely amazing place with breath taking views, it truly is a place to get some R&R and to start mending a fragile heart.

Arrived home this morning having stayed a Monty's Retreat feeling totally refreshed.
 
Just wanted to express our gratitude after staying at the most beautiful place we've ever been.
 
We've been to the Caribbean, Singapore, Dubai and other luxury destinatons before but never have we had such a wonderful time.
 
It's the first time we have had a self catering holiday but after a few minutes on your web site we new it was exactly what we wanted.
 
Monty's Retreat surpassed all expectations.  The cabin was completly wonderful,  The setting idyllic & amazing!!
 
Thank you so, so much.  Thank you for checking we were ok.  I'm sorry i didn't get to meet both of you, although i know my husband did get to meet you both.
 
We wrote in the guest book and meant every word.

Firstly, I must thank you very much for creating a fantastic, chilled out holiday for myself and Amanda. Although it was a last minute booking (due to volcanic ash) we believe that it was probably better then the holiday we would of had on the Isle of Skye, and we will definitely return sometime in the future. You have a wonderful, idyllic setting there, in an area we did not know anything about until our holiday, and we will be passing on a good word about Log House Holidays to all our family, friends and work colleagues.

I know we wrote in your visitor’s book, but I wanted to tell you again how much we enjoyed the Elsa cabin. It was absolutely perfect and we could tell a lot of planning and hard work must have gone into making it so beautiful. Even down to the tiny details such as the chairs on the pier, the antique scales in the bathroom or the log fire just ready to be lit when we arrived! Stunning.

We’ve already begun planning our next visit in the summer and we’re keen to learn more about the island because it looked like paradise!

It is such an incredible house and location that we all made a pact to make it an annual thing as we had such a fantastic weekend. The weather was very good to us, especially with it being October, and I have to say I think it's probably the nicest time to stay in the log house as the light and scenery, with the leaves just turning, was spectacular.

We came back more refreshed than I can remember in a long time. The accommodation was very well equipped and the whole set up was perfect for us - especially the hot tub which we have missed since our return home - if only we had the room!

Hi Anthony, we have just returned home from our fantastic break in the Moondara Lodge.

The pictures just do not do it justice, we were speechless when we arrived on Monday and sad to leave on Friday.

It was very nice to see the level of finish you have installed into the lodge, you could have just put in a normal bath but you decided for a roll top, the dishwasher too - brilliant.

We have stayed in many different cottages and houses around the UK and without a doubt your lodge was the best by a country mile.

We really enjoyed the lake and the fishing was so relaxing, the kids enjoyed themselves, they enjoyed the cycle ride around the grounds and the wildlife.

I am going to book a smaller lodge soon for my mum and dads 50th wedding anniversary in May 2010 and we will definately return next year for the summer and if possible for christmas 2010.

We’ve just returned home from Island Lodge, and it was very hard to
leave! The environment you have created is really special. The way the
lodges are sited really makes you feel the lake is your own private
space. Even the two teenage boys started to relax after a couple of days!

Hi Anthony

Just wanted to let you know what a lovely time the four of us (and
Nellie the dog) had whilst staying at Monty’s Retreat this weekend.

The cabin was beautiful and the setting was so tranquil and the sunset
stunning. We all felt so relaxed and we also celebrated Simon’s 31st
birthday with a little barbecue on the veranda! The boys were obsessed
with the rowing boat and we all thought this was a really nice touch. We
loved the fresh smell of the wood in the cabin and this was the first
thing we noticed when we arrived, along with how lovely and spotlessly
clean the cabin was! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend.
It’s a shame that we couldn’t have stayed for the rest of the week but I
don’t think our employers would have been too amused, especially as Emma and Adam had only just returned from a two week holiday in Cuba!

Anyway, we will without a doubt be back and we have recommended Log
House Holidays to all our friends and family so I am sure you will get a
few bookings out of them! They were all very impressed when we showed
them our photos and a few of them have been on your website and are very
impressed with that too!

I would just like to say a great big Thank you for the lovely time we had at the Moondara Lodge, it was absolutely amazing and my Mam cried when we pulled up outside. She stated that she has found a magical place for the family and dog to come on holiday! Our Boxer dog (George) loved it so much, he swam in the water and every time the door opened he would quickly run out, just so he could be outside. When we got him home he slept solid for 2 days. Everyone was sad to leave as this was a great experience for us all. We are already making plans to return. We cleaned the place before we left as that was our way to say thank you for the lovely holiday we had.

Hope we left everything how we found it.

I just thought you might be interested to know that I have submitted some photographs into a competition that were taken on our recent visit to the Moondara Log Cabin (2nd – 5th February weekend).

We got such lovely photos of the lake that weekend that I wanted to share them with others. I just thought you might like to have a look, and see the results of your hard work in all their glory. 

I also wanted to thank you for a lovely weekend.  We all absolutely loved the log cabin and what you have accomplished is amazing.

Just a short note to tell you once again what a wonderful weekend we all had at Moondara. The house is nothing short of fantastic - it was a magical experience. Its not just the lovely building, but it is so tastefully finished off and furnished with lots of lovely little touches to make it feel homely. There was simply nothing else we could have asked for, and indeed there was everything we could have wanted and more. The house looks fabulous on the website, but even that doesn't do it justice! I think I want to live there......!

We also enjoyed the lovely walk around the lake, and all the different kinds of wildlife we saw. Who needs tv! The swans kept us entertained all Sunday afternoon. I've passed on the information about Island Lodge to two lots of people who are interested in it, but I don't know whether I should tell anyone about Moondara or we may not be able to come back because it will be fully booked!

We would have loved to have been able to stay longer, but duty calls. However, it was a lovely way to end our celebrations for Peter's 60th birthday which seems to have gone on for weeks. I couldn't think of a nicer venue, and it all went so well, if far too quickly.

I just hope the people in Island Lodge didn't hear us singing on Saturday night, although I suspect we disturbed the local wildlife. So thank you again for the tremendous work you have done to make the whole area so beautiful and well kept, and for Moondara - which I think will become a special retreat for us for many years to come (I hope!).

We have booked to travel to Italy and France this year, plus a quick visit to Cornwall to visit family there, so we will probably not be able to return until next year.

I didn't get chance to thankyou for a lovely holiday, It was brilliant! i speak for all who stayed at Moondara that it was the best holiday we have ever had.

We were all so chilled out the whole party have really stressful jobs one being my brother in law who has recently just come back from Afghanistan and found it so Beautiful and peaceful, The Cabin was so well equipt with everything we needed.

We all enjoyed it so much that we had to book for next year. 1 Week was definitely not enough so as I said on the telephone if the week before comes up please slot us in as we would love to come for 2 weeks.

Just wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed our stay at Moondara last weekend. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves from the youngest aged 11 to the oldest aged 76.  The dogs had a great time, my Mini Schnauzer learnt to swim in the lake and is still exhausted from her action packed weekend!! We hope to make a visit to Moondara a regular annual event and look forward to our next stay.

Well what can I say?!?!?! We have just returned home from our 1st and much needed break @ Island Lodge. I can promise it will NOT be our last!! I could never have imagined such a wonderful place could really exist. The lodge is everything we could have imagined and more then we could ever have dreamed. It really is heaven on earth!!

Both me my husband and Freddie our 18 month old son have enjoyed every moment! Freddie is especially missing the ducks!! I however am missing the breath taking views across the lake and the clam a peace it brings!!

I have already found myself checking availability for next year as we would like to bring the whole family and enjoy the Moondara’s delights.
